Everyday Prayer

One day a glimmer came upon me,

Lit up my nightfall like dawn,

Never claimed to be a renowned artist,

But i could see my destiny being drawn.

The Light bore a lovely face

Couldn't help but stand and stare.

I would want it in my shrine of love,

For him I would lavish all my care.

Voice so melodious,

It could make my heartstrings sing,

His existence is the air i breathe,

He could turn every season into spring.

Bodies touch, skin on skin,

He slowly pours life into my soul,

My veins and bones rejoice in delight,

Only in his eyes do i find my one true home.

Wrapped in this perfect harmony,

With happiness and hope woven through the air,

It isn't just a dream to lead life with him,

But a whispered wish, an everyday prayer.
